North Rock Capital Management, LLC is an investment management firm built upon a global multi-PM investment platform. We deploy capital across a diversified set of relative value fundamental and quantitative equity-focused portfolio manager teams (or “PM Teams”). We principally seek to partner with sector and regional specialists that possess deep experience in a defined universe of securities and utilize that specialization and focus to pursue long-term sustainable alpha. Our focus is to harness and manage the combined prowess of our PM Teams to achieve high-quality returns through idiosyncratic risk, with low dependence on market direction. Since the strategy’s launch in March 2013, North Rock Capital has grown to approximately $4.8 billion in assets under management across 55+ underlying PM Teams today.

Approach
Our multi-PM Team platform seeks to isolate idiosyncratic returns primarily in relative value equity through a sector-specialist approach. We target low overall net exposure and limited correlation and beta to the equity markets.
Sector Focus
Our platform primarily seeks relative value equity specialists that focus on a particular sector, industry, or region. Each sector-specialist PM Team practices fundamental stock selection and incorporates sophisticated proprietary quantitative tools and risk management into their investment processes. We believe combining sector-specialist PM Teams focused on a defined universe of securities for which they have extensive experience covering offers us long-term sustainable sources of alpha.

Our rigorous bottom-up risk management framework emphasizes real-time risk monitoring, while defined drawdown triggers and contractual investment guidelines and restrictions seek to reinforce strict control of market risk.
